| 摘 要： | 图形／背景理论起源于心理学，后来主要用于对语言结构的研究，是语言组织概念内容的一个基本认知原则。图形／背景的特性，反映了语言在时间及空间上所遵循的规律。文章从图形／背景理论的基本思想出发，探讨图形／背景分离原则如何通过英语简单旬和复合句来体现语言的空间结构和时间事件结构。

| Abstract: | Figure-ground theory derives from psychology and is used by cognitive linguists toanalyze the meaning of linguistic structures. According to the properties of figure/ground, someprinciples of linguistics in space and temporal events are studied. Starting from the fundamental ideasof figure/ground theory, this paper explores how this cognitive structure is realized in simple and complex sentences. |
