| 摘 要： | 曹雪芹在《红楼梦》这部历史巨著中大量使用了文化意象,生动形象地达到服务主题的目的。但从跨文化交际的要求与目的来看《,红楼梦》英译中意象的表达有着不同程度的缺损。本文通过《红楼梦》三个译本中对意象翻译的缺损来看翻译局限性。

| Abstract: | With a great deal of cultural images,Cao Xueqin vividly served the theme of Hong Lou Meng. However , there are defect of images in various degrees in the translation of Hong Lou Meng,considering the requirement and purpose of cross--cultural communication. This paper tries to take the image defect in the three English version of Hong Lou Meng as an example to discuss the limitation of translation. |
