In the process of C-E and E-C translation,a variety of mistranslation phenomena appear more often than not,categorized as grammatical,semantical and cultural.The root cause lies in the translator＇s misunderstanding or one-sided understanding of the original.Thus,correct understanding is of utmost importance.The paper,on the basis of analyzing the above-mentioned mistranslation,expounds that correct understanding of the original is the premise to diminish misinterpretation,and proposes the pathway to correct comprehension.
