Spatial limitation of knowledge spillover and agglomeration

Knowledge belongs to the mankind, but there are certain spatial limitations on the knowledge spillover,namely,the spread of knowledge and technology is restricted by regional factors, which is an important component mechanism and a powerful favorable effect of the spatial agglomeration. In global economy, the restrictions of knowledge and technology spillover bring about technical differences, and thus influence the comparative advantage in international trade. As a result, changes take place in the pattern of trade and economic growth. The spatial restrictions of knowledge spillover tally with the international income difference and world productivity divergence in terms of regional factors.
