摘    要:比较莎士比亚与郭沫若之后的发现是:莎士比亚在16世纪就已经达到的人性的深度,400年后郭沫若却未能达到。其外部的原因是20世纪中国的现实并未给戏剧舞台留下太大的向人性纵深拓展的空间,而内部的根源则是郭沫若戏剧的“席勒化”倾向,人物永远为主题的表现而行动着,是时代精神的传声筒。但是,郭沫若的戏剧却表现出了不同的艺术风貌,具有浓郁的东方韵味,这既是中国艺术传统影响的结果,也是其艺术个性所做出的独特选择。

Abstract:Through a comparative study of Shakespeare' s and Guo Moruo' s plays, it is discovered that Shakespeare touched upon humanity in his plays early in the 16th century whereas Guo Moruo didn't do so even 400 years later, the external cause of which is that social reality in the 20th-century China allowed little room for drama to delve into humanity while the internal cause is that Guo Moruo' s plays are so affected by Schiller that characters in his plays have become the mouthpieces of their epochal spirit in that their behavior has always moved towards the expression of relevant themes. Nevertheless, with different artistic styles and features, Guo Moruo' s plays are charged with distinctive oriental appeal, which results from not only the impact of Chinese tradition in art and literature but also the unique choice of his artistic individuality.
