摘    要:通过“光电效应”社会化案例的研究,发现在科技发展模式中,存在被长期忽视而又十分重要的概念——工程。正是具有“造物”指向的工程,不仅使基础研究具有实践性和应用性,而且为科学与技术提供了物质性和社会性的互动舞台。

Abstract:D.E.Stokes explains that it is application that leads to basic research through Pasteur's Quadrant in the mode of "4 quadrant",from which the antinomy of dualism of the linearity mode has been reduced.However,the socialization of Einstein's photoemission has presented important social function without considering application once more.It is engineering which is an important concept that has been long ignored in the mode of development of science and technology through the case of photoemission.Engineering which is the designation of "making artifacts" not only enables the basic research to possess the value of practice and application,but provides the interactive medium between science and technology with matter and sociality.So the paper has presented an concept of solving paradox of linearity mode.
