| Abstract: | Theme plays a very important role in text,through which a writer can organize the development of the text.Moreover,the research of metaphor has developed into a multi-level.This research aims to study how the textual coherence is achieved by the theme metaphor through the understanding of cohesion and coherence,and the paper reflects on the contribution of theme metaphor to the textual coherence. |
