同一爱情悲剧的不同变奏──屠格涅夫的《阿霞》的亨利·詹姆斯的《丛林猛兽》比较

有时，两部年代不同、风格迥异的作品给人相似的艺术感受，把它们进行比较， 探究其中异同的原因，可以帮助我们更好地了解作家之间的关系，更好地把握不同作家的艺 术特点。本文以屠格涅夫的《阿霞》和亨利·詹姆斯的《丛林猛兽》为例从构思布局的相似，发 现詹姆斯对屠格涅夫小说艺术的推崇，看到作家之间存在的影响；从人物类型，所处的时代、 社会，作家的体验认识、艺术风格特点等方面，说明这两部作品的不同缘自时代、社会和作 家的心。

Two Ways to Tell the Same Tragedy-A Comparison of Turgenev's Asya and Henry James' The Beast in the Jungle

At times, two stories of different ages and styles may provide us with similar artistic appreciation. To compare them we must discover the cause of the similarities, thereby helping us to better understand the relationship between the authors, the rules in literary creation, and to better grasp the literary styles of the two authors. The works in question here are Turgenev's Asya and Henry James, The Beast in the Jungle. Similarities in the plot - setting development of the two stories lead us to discover that there was indeed a relationship where Turgenev's writing influenced James. Judging from the character types, epoch - society settings of the tales, the author's life experiences, and differences in writing style, etc. We are thus able to obtain a clearer picture of the society and times in which these work are produced as well as the personalities of the authors themselves.
