A Composite Nomograph for Predicting Achievement in College

Abstract

This article illustrates the construction and use of a computing diagram for quick determination of the range of probabilities that a student with a given combination of scores on several predictor variables will obtain a certain freshman grade. It is noted that such diagrams are useful in counseling both high school and college students and should be provided by colleges employing multiple regression procedures in selection.
