| 摘 要： | 冷战时期，美国对欧洲一体化趋势总的来讲是乐观其成的，这种政策并未因冷战的结束而发生改变。之所以如此，是因为在美国看来，欧洲的一体化契合了美国对欧政策的终极目标，即一个联合的欧洲有助于促进和稳固欧洲的民主与稳定。正因如此，美国对于欧盟的扩大主要仍持支持与鼓励的态度。然而，冷战后国际形势的新现实，决定了欧盟的扩大与美国的利益并非总是并行不悖的，它同样也对美国的全球霸主地位提出了挑战。

| Abstract: | The enlargement of EU is in accordance with the basic goal of the US foreign policy that is framed by the belief that it will result in a democratic and stable Europe. The U.S. policy is to encourage, guide, and promote the enlargement of EU since the Cold War.With the great change of the international situation of the post-cold war, the enlargement of European Union is possibly going to be an entity that is entitled to challenge the US in future. |
