试论《海上花列传》中的时空形式

作为第一部以行将兴起的上海为对象的长篇说部,《海上花列传》以其写实方面的成就备受瞩目。本文运用小说空间形式理论对小说新颖的艺术形式进行了空间性解读,认为作者是综合用了破碎、并置等技巧对故事情节进行了处理,并将一己之于都市的个人经验、感受与思索融入其中。以小说时空形式为切入点,不仅有助于我们完整把握小说艺术的全貌,更为准确、深入地体认作品的内在特质,书写者与都市这对主客体间互为生发的内在关联亦能藉此得以一窥。

Space in A Romance of Playboys and Prostitutes in Shanghai

A Romance of Playboys and Prostitutes in Shanghai has drawn much attention from critics for its achievement in realism against the background of a rising Shanghai.This paper used spatial theory to present an interpretation of the spaces in the novel.The author of the novel combined the techniques of fragmental spaces and juxtaposition of spaces where he infused his personal experiences and feelings living in a metropolis himself.A study of the novel from the view point of spaces would help us understand better the whole artistic achievement of the novel,as well as the relationship between the author and his work.
