公示语英译中中式英语现象及对策研究

A Countermeasure Study of Chinglish in Translation of Public Signs

With the influence and the interference of native language, chinglish phenomenon has appeared frequently, in which the language fails to express the meaning. It not only hinders the normal use of language, but also hampers intercultural communication effectively. However, public signs from bilingual language as a business card can let the others know China, and it represents a region, a city and a country＇s image, but the emergence of chinglish will no doubt have a negative effect in foreign exchange, and even affect the pace of China for going abroad and marching towards the world. Through the analysis of chinglish phenomenon and its reason in translation of public signs, the paper discusses and points out the specific measures to solve and overcome it. In this way, public signs can be translated effectively and avoid chinglish＇s appearance, and then can convey the clear and exact messages for the users of the public signs.
