| Abstract: | The translation practice indicates that there will always be distance between the translation and the original. From the point of translation theory, poetry is a kind of literary form whose translatability is the least. This paper tries to probe into the translatability limitation of Chinese poetry from the three essential factors: melopoeia, phanopoeia, logopoeia, with the aim of throwing out a minnow to catch a whale. |
