| 摘 要： | The University of Science and Technology of China （USTC） under the Chinese Academy of Sciences （CAS） celebrated its 50th anniversary on 20 September, 2008. In eastern China＇s Hefei city where the USTC main campus is located, about 15 thousand students, alumni and faculty hung out banners and held ceremonies to say happy birthday to their college.
