| 摘 要： | 1929年和1937年甘肃省发生了两次大规模的灾荒,前者涉灾面积和受灾人口都有很大的相似性,但是灾荒造成的后果却有较大不同。前者对甘肃社会的打击程度远超过后者,其重要原因是1937年的民间物资积累远比1929年充足。这在一定程度上揭示了民间物资积累的多寡对于灾荒频发的民国时期社会应灾能力的强弱具有重要意义。

| Abstract: | Two extensive famines happened in Gansu province in 1929 and 1937.The area and population suffered from the disasters had great similarities in the two famines,but the consequences resulted from them were different.The blow of the former to the people of Gansu was far more severe than the latter.The ultimate reason was that the nongovernmental material accumulation in 1937 was far more sufficient than that in 1929,which,to a certain extent,showed that the level of nongovernmental material accumulation was of great significance in coping with famines in the period of the Republic of China in which famines frequently occurred. |
