摘    要:教师话语占用的课堂时间越多,学生参与练习的机会就越少,教师话语的数量和质量的某种程度上会影响甚至决定课堂教学的成败。在分析了影响教师话语的因素以及目前教师话语在中学英语课堂教学中的使用状况这后,本文提出了改进教师话语的有效方法;改变教师在课堂上的角色,合理规划教师话语,改变单一的提问模式,对回答积极反馈。

Abstract:Recent research shows that the less the teacher speaks the more the students are involved. Therefore, English teacher talk determines to some extent whether the teaching to be successful or not. With a brief analysis of the possible factors that affect teacher talk and the present situation of teacher talk in ELT in middle schools, the paper suggests the effective ways in improving teacher talk are: the teacher's role-shifting in classroom, appropriate design of the teacher talk, changing the simple pattern of questioning, and active response to feedback.
