外刊课——学科园中的一朵奇葩

外刊课以时效性强、题材丰富、原汁原味等特点引起诸多同仁和学生的兴趣。但通过网上调查和查阅近几年刊物发现外刊教学存在诸多问题,如:重视程度不够,行课时间短,教师配备不稳定,外刊材料短缺,相关研究少等。为发挥其特点和优势,培养高素质、复合型人才,应当改变传统认识,采取以下积极措施:订阅外报外刊,配备专职教师,加强内外交流,改变教学策略等。

American &British News Publications ——a Special Flower in the Garden of College Courses

The course of American & British News Publications,characterized by its time-efficiency, authenticity, colorful materials,is drawing great attention of teachers and students.But a series of problems related to its teaching have been found through investigation on Internet and by consulting magazines published in China.The problems are:no enough attention to the course,limited time allocation to the course lack of permanent teachers and relevant publications,and scarcity of related research.Effective measures:like subscribing foreign papers and journals,more intensive communications with other colleges and universities,adopting more efficient teaching methods,are suggested to bring its advantages into full play for the cultivation of high- and multi-quality graduates.
