| Abstract: | An English teacher's pragmatic competence has a great influence upon the effect of English teaching and learning,upon the cultivation of the students' appropriate communicative ability. This paper mainly discusses three ways of improving the pragmatic competence of English majors: offering a course in Pagmatics, extensive exposure to authentic materials of the English language, and systematic study of cultural difference. |
