An Comparison of the Theme Escape between Unbearable Lightness of Being and Personal Experience

Unbearable Lightness of Being and Personal Experience are the representative novels of Czech writer Milan Kundera and the Japanese writer Kenzaburo.The two works are almost about the same Escape theme.This paper argues that the Escape described by the writers actually reflects the hegemonism expansion results under the global context of the Cold War – the invasion of hegemonic forces cause the instability of human living,that they have to Escape.In addition,the escape from the background of modern civilization is the real reflection of Human in loss and absurdity,which only by transcending the Escape can people be truly saved.
