Abstract: | Some of the recent literature discussing the problems of the U.S. federal depository library system is reviewed. Various suggestions for fixing the system are noted and further suggestions advanced. The suggestions in this paper are (1) decrease the size of the List of Classes, (2) open the depository system to more public libraries, and (3) end the requirement that regional depositories keep all material forever. |
