The TV play Fire Saves the City in Danger re-appeared the plague in Northeast China in 1910. There were more than 60, 000 lives devoured by the plague. Based on the realities of the human nature, the play re appeared the ugliness and beauty of the government of Russia and Japan, the Qing government, the majority of the ordinary people and the medical workers and the human nature of both fear and toughness. The play not only revealed that the plague source originated from the human but also attempts to build a spiritual home for mankind to against the epidemics and hopes that the human beings can firmly go for- ward in the continuing contest with the plague.
