祥林嫂的晚清身世——从宣统三年的《未亡人语》说起

刊于《小说时报》第九号的《未亡人语》是一篇被人遗忘的,却又极具现代性的短篇小说。它所塑造的未亡人形象,在某种程度上可以说是祥林嫂的晚清形象。此外,它在情节安排、叙事策略、视角选择等方面都具有令人讶异的现代性追求,甚至在某些方面比鲁迅的《祝福》更具有先锋性。《未亡人语》的重新发掘与阐释,对我们重构近现代文学史叙事,深入探讨晚清文学现代性问题有所助益。

The Model of Aunt Xianglin in the Late Qing Dynasty——On the Novel Words of the Widow Published in 1911

The short story Words of the Widow is a masterpiece with modernity. But it was forgotten. In a sense, the widow in the novel is the model of Aunt Xianglin in the Late Qing Dynasty. Besides, its pursuits of modernity in plots arrangements, narrative strategies and the angle of narrative view are quite amazing. In some respects, it is more avant-garde than Blessing. In addition, in a sense, the studies on Words of the Widow are very helpful for us to reconstruct the narratives of the latter-day literature and to study in depth the issues of the Late Qing Dynasty literature.
