| 摘 要： | 《人鼠之间》是约翰·斯坦贝克的一部中篇力作。小说的标题蕴涵着深刻的隐喻意义:其一,人与鼠有着相同的命运,人类在命运面前无能为力;其二,人与鼠的关系犹如人与人的关系,孤独是人类恒久而无奈的选择。具象的标题充满了悲观主义的色彩,烘托了作者所要表现的金钱社会腐蚀灵魂,扭曲人性,戕害生命的主题。

| Abstract: | Of Mice and Men is one of the most important short novels of American writer John Steinbeck. The title of the novel possesses very deep metaphorical meanings: firstly, men and mice have the same destiny, and nobody has the capability to change his destiny; secondly, the relationship between men and mice is similar to the one among people, and loneness is the everlasting and unique choice of men. The title is concrete and pessimistic, and thus highlights the themes of spirit deterioration, human nature distortion and life killing in the evil society. |
