| Abstract: | This paper,by examining the definitione of simile,investigates in the category of simile the role of the simile introduced by the acknowledging word what,and points out the deficiency in the traditional definitions of simile,which usually cover the prototype or near prototype category.It also exemplifies the three structures of the illustrative simile under discussion. |
