| Abstract: | Suzhou, the home of the Number One Scholars in the imperial examination, formed some social custom which were closely relevant to the Imperial Examination in history. It primarily appeared in culture and education, social life and literary creation, etc. Investigating the ancient imperial examination system from this point of view will deepen our understanding of imperial examination in essence. |
