Pragmatic Function of Color Words in Chinese Classical Poetry Song Ci

Chinese color words have experienced much change from ancient times to today.Besides describing colors,they can also express many further meanings and play pragmatic function at the same time.This paper has taken Quan Songci,which is an important representative of Chinese classical poetry,as its basic material and the pragmatic function of color words as its main objects of study.On the one hand,the paper discusses the aesthetic function of color words in detail;on the other hand,it illuminates the pragmatic characteristics of color words when they entering Song Ci,which is the classical poetry type of Chinese literature.
