言语交际者关系管理模式新拟

摘    要:针对经典礼貌理论存在的各种问题,Helen Spencer-Oatey及其合作者在现有礼貌理论等基础上建立了"关系管理模式",认为语言使用会对具有社会属性的人际关系产生影响,因而交际者会努力通过各种语用—语言方式实施人际关系的管理,主要涉及面子管理、社交权利与义务管理以及交互目标管理。本文在扼要呈现这一理论模式后,提出关于礼貌、关系管理与人际关系的新观点,剖析新模式存在的不足,并尝试提出一个改进后的模式。

A revised model of interactants’ rapport management
Abstract:In response to various problems in the classic models of politeness, Helen Spencer-Oatey and her colleagues proposed the “Rapport Management Model” on the basis of existing politeness theories. It is argued in the model that as language use may impact interpersonal relations that are social by nature, communicators will try to use various pragma-linguistic means to manage rapport, primarily including the management of face, social rights, and interactional goals. After sketching out the theoretical model, this paper will presents some new ideas on politeness, rapport management and interpersonal relations, addresses some inadequacies in the model, and attempt to propose a revised version of the model.
