逻辑知识在英语学习中的作用

逻辑在英语语言知识构成的三要素（语法、修辞和逻辑）中作用极大。学习英语偏重语法，轻视逻辑的看法是错误的。在英语学习中，要掌握最基本的逻辑规律；三段论，演绎推理；归纳推理，同一律；矛盾律；排中律和充分理由律；就能避免犯以下逻辑错误；四名词；中项不周延，以偏概全；偷换概念；自相矛盾，两不可，虚假理由。

The Role of Logic in Studying English

Logic is very important of the three fundamental factors forming the English language (grammar, rhetoric and logic). It is wrong only to attach importance to grammar learning but ignore logic learning. In studying English, the following basic logic laws should be mastered: Syllogism, Deductive Reasoning, Law of Identity, Law of Contradiction, Law of Excluded Middle, Law of Sufficient Reason. One should avoid making the following logic errors: four terms, the undistributed middle term, looking on one-sidedness as generalization, stealing and putting up a sham conception, self contradiction, two can'ts and false reason.
