| Abstract: | ??On the basis of a stochastic sampling investigation made by the authors,the paper gives a comparison of subject indexing in CIP between China and USA in the following 5 aspects:indexing depth,retrieval depth,indexing terms,subject heading grades and indexing languages.Their excellences and deficiencies are pointed out,and improving ideas are suggested. |
