Pioneer of Chinese Modern Mathematical Education

Mr.FU Zhong-sun(1898-1962) was an erudite and strict Confucian Scholar who received the edification of ideas of western democracy.He was the first mathematician who introduced mathematical logic and mathematical basis to China,and he was also a great mathematical educator who devoted his life to the development of mathematics education in China.As a pioneer of modern mathematical education in China,Mr.FU Zhong-sun worked his heart out on mathematics education.He participated in the compiling of textbooks,the preparing of the curriculum standards,the teacher education,and the editor in-chief of Bulletin of Maths.The mathematical education ideas of Mr.FU Zhong-sun would exist for ever.
