| 摘 要： | On 11th October 2002, Mr Jimmy Carter, former1 US president, won the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo.Mr Carter is the third US president on whom this prize was conferred. He was honoured for years of tireless effort to seek peaceful solutions to international conflicts, advance democracy and human rights, and to boost economic and social development.Mr Carter is now 78. He started out as a peanut farmer in Georgia, America. He left the White House in 1981.
