论大学英语教学中存在的若干问题及对策

目前我国大学英语教学存在着若干问题,表现为:教材方面,选材缺乏系统性,内容陈旧,词汇在低层次上重复,缺时代感;教法方面,重“教”轻“学”,重知识传授轻语言实践,教学手段简单落后;学生方面,学习英语的目的较功利,行动较消极,学习效率较低。针对这些问题提出相应对策,即更新整合教材,灵活使用教材,增加阅读维度,改进教学方法,优化学习环境,以满足新形势下大学英语教学的需求。

Issues of College English Teaching and Solutions

There are some issues of college English teaching at present.They are mainly focused on textbooks,teaching methods,and students.The materials in textbooks are less systematic,contents are out-dated,and vocabulary is of low level.Teaching methods are simple,and much importance is attached to knowledge teaching and less to language practice.What's more,most of the students are motivated by utility,and they are passive learners,with low efficiency.As for the problems,some solutions are provided,including: revising and making good use of textbooks,multiplying varied styles of reading materials,improving teaching methods and bettering learning environments,so as to meet the demands of college English teaching in the new situation.
