讽喻的认知语用阐释

摘    要:长期以来学者们一直将讽喻视为一种装饰性的修辞手段,但认知语用学的研究结果表明,讽喻实质上是一种认知交际行为。本文尝试性地在认知语用学的核心理论———关联理论的框架中探索讽喻的本质及其发生和理解的过程,以期对这种人们习以为常的话语现象有更清晰的认识。

Abstract:Irony has been deemed as a decorative figure of speech ever since Greek philosopher Socrates.However,it has been argued by cognitive pragmatists that irony is essentially a cognitive communicative act.The paper attempts to explore irony's nature and its production and interpretation procedures under the guidance of relevance theory-the core of cognitive pragmatics.
