清季张之洞调和汉学和宋学的努力

晚清时代的学术门户之见日益明显,这一方面是由于社会环境造成的,另一方面则是学术自身发展而导致的,又加之内忧外患,统治者在学术上不得不主张"经世致用",这使得清代的汉学与宋学之争不得不服从政治的需要而转向调和。作为封疆大吏的张之洞,在对清季教育改革的第一个时期就提出了"通经致用",为达此目的,他主张调和汉学与宋学之间的矛盾。
