| 摘 要： | 活跃于西汉中期外交舞台的使节谷吉,在其短暂的外事活动中,提出了"羁縻不绝"的外交思想,为西汉政府妥善处理汉匈关系提供了参考;并力排众议,以生命为代价,践行了自己"没一使以安百姓"的庄重誓言,为西汉边防的稳固与安定做出了自己应有的贡献。谷吉身上所体现出的爱国主义精神在注重弘扬传统文化的今天仍具有重大的现实教化功能。
