语言是人类认知现实 ,进行交流的工具。我们生活在一个语言文字的世界里 ,时时刻刻都有人在说话、写字或阅读。语言对人类来说实在是不可或缺的 ,我们的生活越来越有赖于正确而高效地运用语言。这就是语言的共性 (普遍性 )。但我们知道世界上有上千种语言 ,不同的民族使用的是不同的语言 ,这就是语言的个性 (特殊性 )。语言的差异并没有给人类的交流带来障碍 ,在人类的成功交流的后面是什么在起作用 ?这就是撰写本文的目的。许多学者对于语言的个性感兴趣 ,试图挖掘语言的差异性 ,并撰写了许多这方面的文章。正好相反 ,本篇通过分析普遍语法的发展过程 ,着眼于语言共性的研究并试图探索语言共性的本质
