重回"孤独的个人"--写在2004年的小说随想

在消费时代,凡是与文字相关的场域,充斥的都是讲故事的人。但真正的小说不仅是讲故事,更非臣服于经验的统治,而是要回到“孤独的个人”,重建自己伟大的“文学抱负”,使之连接上小说的核心精神：存在感,复杂性,创造的激情。这也可视为是对先锋文学精神的传承,因为先锋既是一种自由、独立、创造的精神,同时也是一种“文学抱负”。2004年的中国小说潜藏着这样一些变化的迹象。

Returning to "the Lonely Individual"

In consumption times, there are all persons telling stories in every field correlated with the characters. However, the real novel not only tells the story and does not submit to the governance in experience, but gets back to "the lonely individual", rebuilds one's own great literature aspiration, makes it connect to the key spirit of the novel: the sense exists, complexity, the passion created. This can be regarded as passing on the pioneer's literature spirit. Because the pioneer is a free, independent and creative spirit, meanwhile is a literature ambition, too. The Chinese novel in 2004 is hiding the signs of some such changes.
