《金融服务贸易协议》背景下:我国银行业面临的挑战及对策

1997年 12月 13日在日内瓦达成的《金融服务贸易协议》(WTO’sFinancialServicesNegotiations) ,作为《服务贸易总协定》(GATS)的重要组成部分 ,对各国金融业将产生重要影响。 1999年 11月中国与美国就中国加入WTO达成协议 ,该协议标志着中国加入WTO取得了重大进展。根据中国WTO谈判的情况表明 ,预计 2 0 0 1年中旬 ,中国有望加入WTO ,该协议也将对我国金融业产生重大影响。因此 ,有必要对《金融服务贸易协议》的背景及内容进行了解、分析我国面临的问题及应采取的对策

The Problems,Challenge and its Countermeasure of our Bank Industry Under the Background of WTO's Financial Services Negotiations

As an important part of GATS,WTO's Financial Services Negotiations was reached in Geneva on December 13,1997,will exert an important influence on the financial industry of the world.In November 1999,China and the U.S reached the agreement about China's acceding to WTO,which marked that China's acceding to WTO has made great progress.According to the agreement,it showed that China is expected to accede to WTO around the mid-2001. And the agreement will exert a tremendous influence on our nation's financial industry.Therefore,it is necessary to understand the background and the contents of WTO's Financial Services Negotiations and analyse the problems facing the nation and the countermeasures.
