论楚“士”的形成与发展

楚"士"经历了由早期复杂含义发展到以仿诸夏立国后的低级贵族之代称的过程。随着时代的发展特别是宗法制的解体及私学的兴起为平民入"士"提供了途径,士亦转化为知识阶层的统称。由此,春秋战国时期楚士阶层不断壮大,他们凭借自身丰富的知识与技能,竞相展示自己的才华,有力地推动了社会的发展进程。

The Formation and Developments of the Chu Scholars

The scholars of Chu have experienced the process of developments from the early complex meaning stage to the imitation stage on behalf of the lower nobility. With the development of the times, especially the disintegration of the rule of law and the rise of the private schools, a new way is available for the civilians to be the scholars, which is also named the＂intelligentsia＂. The Chu scholars in the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States periods have since then grown by virtue of their knowledge and skills and competed to show their talents for the sake of a powerful impetus to the process of social developments.
