| Abstract: | Taiwan lies in the key position in the West Pacific First Island Chain. It is a "unsinkable aircraft carrier" with which the US controls the Pacific Ocean, checks China and deters Japan and Russia. It is China's door to the Pacific Ocean, the base to maintain oceanic rights, the marine fortress to screen the mainland and to complete the coast defense. Japan is a potential threat to the solution to Taiwan issue in the future. |
