裴度、元稹矛盾对中唐文学的影响

On the Influence of the Conflict between Pei Du and Yuan Zhen upon the Literature in Mid-Tang Dynasty

The worsening of the relationship between Pei Du and Yuan Zhen ,two distinguished poets ,was a political event of great significance in the Mid-Tang Dynasty .It was a transforming procedure that their relationship began from a relative good term to worsening and finally unconcealed long-lasting antagonism . The antagonism was actually an interlacing point of the intricate contradictions of the Mid-Tang Dynasty . With the personal grudge as the beginning ,the disparity of their political ideas ,resulted from different in-terest groups they belonged to ,was in fact the basic reason of their antagonism .Of all the contradictions , the focus was those between the different H anlin academic scholar groups represented separately by Pei and Yuan ,between Pei and his men’s proposition of diminishing the power of military leaders and the in-clination of compromising by the Royal Emperor and his “men of compromise” ,and between Pei ,the sen-ior politician ,and the literary men represented by Yuan .On the other hand ,their antagonism had great impact on the cultural trend of Mid-Tang Dynasty .
