当代大学生在关于思想政治理论的学习与内化方面喜忧参半，在关于理想信念的选择与追求方面重个人轻社会、主流信仰缺失，在关于诚信品质的认识与养成方面对人严对己宽、缺乏正确归因，在关于公德意识的尊重与践行方面知易行难、知行脱节。要有效地改变这种状况，则需用社会主义核心价值体系引领社会思潮，构建社会协同的教育机制、以理服人的教育机制、以实导行的教育机制，以此系统地加强大学生思想政治教育，切实提高大学生思想政治道德素质。
