Discussion on Several Basic Problems of Vocational Education

To understand the connotation of vocational education, the researchers should start from multi-subject research viewsight; the essential attribute of vocational education can be explored from the aspects of adaptability, intermediation and industry; vocational education have four main models: school-based, enterprise-based, society-based and school-enterprise integration; the evolvement of vocational education has experienced four kinds of modality: apprenticeship, school, mixed modality of school-enterprise and common participation of various institutions oriented by enterprise; modern vocational education institution has its own management mechanism, and its education and production activity must comply with market economy principles; the direction of curriculum reform of vocational education is the integration of academic knowledge with vocational technology.
