| Abstract: | The main purposes of this thesis are to discuss the problems in two aspects: in one aspect ,the thesis analyse the process of coming into being and development of general education and cultural competency education , in order to understand the connotation and the basic features of these two concepts; in another aspect, with the research methods of comparison, the thesis attempt to discuss and analyse the general characters and distinguishings, and heritages between the two theories. Drawing lessons form these benefit experiences would do good to improve the practices of higher education nowadays. |
