略论贵州大学堂的创办及其影响

创办于 10 0多年前的贵州大学堂既是清末教育改革的产物 ,更是贵州近代高等教育的发端。由于种种历史原因 ,贵州大学堂在其发展中几经沉浮 ,步履艰难 ,然而它对贵州近代高等教育发展所做出的开创之功不可否认 ,尤其是它“实事求是 ,造就通才 ,兴学育人”的办学精神和培养目标 ,对于今天的高教育改革仍有可资借鉴之处。

Briefly on Foundation of Guizhou Big School and its Influence

Guizhou Big School, founded more than one hundred years ago, was not only the product of education reform in late Qing Dynasty, but also the beginning of high education of modern Guizhou. Owing to various historical factors, Guizhou Big School had seen some ups-and-downs in its development, but it had made contributions to the development of Guizhou modern high education, especially its spirit and aim of "seek truth from facts, run school and cultivate talents," have influence on today's high educational reform.
