| 摘 要： | 教授治校是源自中世纪大学的一种管理实践,蔡元培时代的北京大学是中国近代第一所将其付诸实施的大学。北大“教授治校”制度虽然面临合法性的困境,但是民主的治校理念、学有专长的教授群体以及蔡元培校长的个性特质为该制度的实现提供了条件。通过该制度,北大教授获得了大学事务的决策权力。但是蒋梦麟担任北大校长后,由于其管理理念的不同,“教授治校”制度在北大走向消亡。

| Abstract: | Faculty Governance dates back to the administrative pattern of universities in the Middle Ages and Peking University during the presidency of CAI Yuanpei carried out the idea first in Chinese modern universities.Despite the legitimacy difficulty it encountered,the idea of democratic governance,scholarly professors and the individual personality of President CAI,all provided conditions for the realiation of this system.As a result,its execution secured professors' leading role in making decisions for the university affairs.However,due to the different ideas of governance,JIANG Menglin put an end to the institution of "Faculy Govrenance". |
