| Abstract: | This paper mainly analyses the potential existence of provincial living scenes in the scope of country-theme fictions in the Seventeen Years in contemporary Chinese literature, discusses how provincial life based on patriarchal system contends and withdraws in class struggle, and how writers respond to the historical trend in the course of transformation. |
