中国画的色彩有其自身的独特性．一幅好的绘画作品，色彩的表现是尤为重要的，设色可以说是一幅绘画作品的主题，内容表现也是很重要的。一幅作品的好坏，成功与否，大部分都是色彩所决定的。尤其是一张以色彩来突出主题的画，例如：中国画中的工笔重彩的人物画、工笔花鸟以及一些青山绿水画更是突出色彩的重要性。在画面上也是起到了举足轻重的作用。1]

What determines whether a painting is successful or not is mostly the color, especially a painting with its color to highlight the theme, such as clahorate-styie figure painting in the Chinese painting, claborate-style painting of flowers and birds and some paintings of mountains and rivers, in which the importance of colors is highlighted.
