Abstract:The enterprise who is the key inventor of the industry, is the guide of technological innovation in the industry, however, it is not easy to become a key inventor. The promotion of technological innovation ability is the precondition for an enterprise to be a key inventor. Based on knowledge-based theory and dynamic capability theory, this paper explores the mediated mechanism of knowledge integration capability among the breadth, depth of technological knowledge base and being a key inventor for an enterprise from the perspective of the theory of knowledge management. The empirical results show that the knowledge integration capability is a mediator in the relationship between the breadth, depth and being a key inventor for a firm. The level of basic science has the moderated mediated effect on the relationship between the breadth, depth of knowledge base and being a key inventor for an enterprise, which is realized through the mediated influence of knowledge integration capability. The conclusion can be used for reference for an enterprise to adjust its technological knowledge base and realize the transformation of R&D role.
