中国的翻译理论在当今的世界无疑处于边缘的地位。西方中心主义已对我们的理论研究构成了很大的障碍．并反进来促使我们的理论研究在世界翻译理论研究中更加边缘化，使中西翻译理论的交流和相互影响更加不平衡。我们必须注意理论上的创新．主动向西方介绍我们的传统和成就，逐渐向中心的位置移动。

Euro-Centralism and Translation Study in China

Translation study in China is undoubtedly ina peripheral position in the current world. Though many factors have contributedto this situation, Euro-centralism now greatly hinders the theoretical research, which in turn further marginalizes our translation study in the world. Tochange this situation, we must make efforts to put forward more original theories and more vigorously introduce to the West our tradition and new achievements in translation study. Only in this way can we move away from the periphery towards the center.
